Peter is a visual designer who has worked across the industry in a variety of disciplines, including print design and production, UI/UX, motion graphics, web, photography, video, and digital publishing. He is a certified technical trainer and Adobe certified Instructor in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Lightroom.

Eric Berendt

Eric Berendt is an illustrator and graphic designer who opened his own business in 1985. He purchased his first Macintosh, a Mac II, in August of 1987 and never looked back. His illustrations have appeared in IBM’s AS400 Magazine, The Hartford Courant, other books, publications, and corporate Power Point presentations, and on the web sites of Adobe Systems, Literate Nation, and V-an online women’s magazine. He has illustrated two early reader books: PW Cracker Sees the World and The Early Bird’s Alarm Clock. His design clients include IBM, Adobe Systems, Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard, other electronics clients, a number of wineries in Chile and Argentina, and numerous non-profit corporations.

He has been on the VCOM graphic design faculty at Las Positas since 1999, and has also taught at Cornell University, San Jose State, Foothill College, Laney College, and others.

He received his Bachelors of Arts in Fine Arts from Stanford University and his Masters of Fine Arts from Cornell University.

John Hogan

John Hogan brings to the classroom and to the craft of teaching, years of experience in the Themed Entertainment, Toy and Animation industries. He has designed toys for Hasbro, Mattel and Sega, attractions for EPCOT, Disneyland, Paris, layouts for Hanna Barbera, model designs for Marvel and Walt Disney Television, animation for PBS, designed a show for the Seville World’s Fair for Xerox and created a few toy premiums for Burger King.

As an instructor, with a BA from San Francisco State, MA from Argosy University, he has taught in a variety of disciplines in both undergraduate and graduate classes including foundation courses in design, drawing, color theory, layout and background design, storyboarding and animation. He has also designed curriculum in Documentary Filmaking,Toy Design, Robotics and Autonomous Vehicle Design, and has conducted overseas study courses on Anime and Manga in Japan.

If you have ever played with a toy, visited a theme park or seen an animated film you may have encountered his work.
